New Players

Updated Thursday August 31, 2017 by Phoenix Rugby Club.

Join us for our Phoenix Rugby Club Open House.  On Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 7 pm - 9 pm join us at Alpharetta North Park, 13450 Cogburn Rd, Alpharetta, GA.  We will have complimentary food and drinks and our coaches will be in attendance to answer questions regarding the upcoming season.  We will have some players on hand to demonstrate the game to newcomers and to play some light-hearted touch rugby for entertainment. This will be the perfect venue for new players and parents to find out about the Phoenix Rugby family.

Join us for practice.  We encourage all interested players to participate in a couple of our practices before registering to see what rugby is all about.

For FALL 2017 practices, Phoenix Rugby practices on Tuesday & Thursday nights at 8:30 pm at Field #1, North Park, 13450 Cogburn Rd, Alpharetta, GA.

We would also encourage you to check out our FAQs page for more information and our About Rugby page that inlcudes both Basics of Rugby and some great Videos .

The important thing to consider here is that the player has fun with rugby & he/she is going to enjoy the sport.

The Rugby Basics and Rugby Videos pages contain a lot of very useful information about Rugby. You might also want to visit the USA Rugby website (including rugby scholarships). Check it out. Be sure to read to the Spectators Guide to Rugby on our web site under About Rugby. It will quickly give insight into how rugby is played & the laws governing the sport.

All of our coaches are volunteers & experienced in the sport of rugby. Emphasis is placed upon learning how to play the sport safely, but bear in mind it is a contact sport. That’s one of the reasons why players enjoy rugby.

Let your son/daughter try rugby out for themselves.

We look forward to meeting you & your son/daughter.
